Profile Portrait of a Lady

Presented here, a 19th Century miniature portrait of a woman. The detail here is really incredible . . . especially in the treatment of the hair. Each strand is deliniated as is the braided bun on the back of her head. It dates, circa 1830-40 and is in excellent condition and housed in it's original Rosewood veneer frame with gold liner and old bubbly glass.  The framed size is 5-7/8" x 6-7/8" and the portrait measures 3" x 4" (sight).
