Spike Candleholder in Wood Base

Wrought Iron Spike Candleholder with Twisted Shaft in its original primitive wooden base.  You will not believe the patina on the wood.  The piece dates back into the 17th or early 18th Century. It is 8-1/2" tall and has the remains of an old beeswax candle stub with wax dripping down the candlespike and covering the base.  What a great look in early lighting.  Rare to find.
