"Ferryboat" Inkstand

This inkstand appears to be the same one pictured in The Collector's World of Inkwells by Jean & Franklin Hunting and pictured on p. 101.  It is of an unusual shape that they thought resembled a Ferryboat.  A square, pressed glass inkwell with a hinged lid is in the back while a pen wipe brush and pen rest are in the front.

The inkstand is marked "Germany" and is made of Nickle Plate on brass and copper.   The size is 2 1/2" x 5" and the inkwell is circa 1880's.
