Double Snail Inkwell in Cast Iron Frame Congress Record Ink
Presented here a fine, well preserved example of the Double Snail Inkwell in its original cast iron frame that suggests we "USE CONGRESS RECORD INK". The supporting bracket has a stopper plate (to prevent ink evaporation) and a pen rack that holds three pens. Excellent, original condition, Wolcott Hull, Meriden, Connecticut, c. 1880. Pictured on p. 155 in The Collector's World of Inkwells by Jean and Franklin Hunting. The glass snails appear green in the photo, but they are not. They are clear glass. $550.00 FOD01905 Questions?
