Treen Work Bowl in Blue Paint Presented here, a fine lathe turned Work or Utility Bowl of a substantial size. Bowls such as this were an important part of the colonial kitchen and had a multitude of uses. Judging from the marks on the interior this bowl has met its share of knives and choppers over the course of its lifetime. It is 4-1/2 inches high and has shrunk slightly out of round measuring 14-1/2 inch in diameter to 15 inches depending on where the measurement is taken. (Sort of reminds me of a potato chip.) It still retains its original blue paint on the exterior which show wear in all the right places . . . notably the rim and the bottom. The condition is excellent with no cracks or losses. A true survivor to grace your country cupboard or table. R13A15575 5211 Questions? Ask the Ferret!
