 And Maine Redware can't be beat . .  embodying the "Yankee Spirit". They created a pottery that, while utilitarian, had an inherent beauty in  its simplicity, functionality, lustrous glazes, soft colors and shapes of good proportion. This, most likely from the Corliss Pottery in Day's Ferry, Maine is an exceptional example. 7-1/2 " high and 4-1/4 " in diameter, Circa 1780-1820. They look like two separate jars, but they fired differently because of placement in the kiln.
