Pair of Ladderback Loom or Weavers Chairs

Presented here, a PAIR of Ladderback Loom or Weaver's Chairs in red paint.  Rare to find one, let alone a matching pair!  These chairs have splint seats that are in excellent condition as are the chairs.  They are very sturdy and stand 38" high with the seat 23-1/2" from the floor.  The large hand looms required chairs with high seats, so the weavers could sit close to their work. They were used extensively in the Shaker communities as the same type of chair was also used at shop desks, laundry and ironing tables, and tailors' counters.  They are wonderfully suited for use as counter chairs or bar stools in your Kitchen or Family Room. They could also be used as youth chairs depending on the height of the table.  Wonderful!
