Watercolor Portrait of a Fisherman

Presented here a very fine, folky watercolor of a Fisherman.  Very nattily dressed, too, I might add.  Black coat, striped pants, white scarf with blue polka dots and a sou'wester hat.  Paintings such as this are very desirable, especially when the subject is engaged in something other than just posing for a portrait, but making a statement about his occupation, or other interest.  Obviously this gentleman was an avid fisherman and wanted to be portrayed as such.
The piece is very realistically rendered and is in excellent condition.  It is nicely framed in a period figured maple veneer frame with gold liner and old glass and measures 8-1/2" x 11-1/2".  Sight size is 5-1/4" x 8-1/3".
