They just don't get any better than this!  Fabulous Paint Decorated Covered Treen Container!  Wonderful surface!  It stands 7" tall, very minor wear, no cracks . . . No kidding!

The paint decoration is dark brown over mustard and the patterns are very deliberately and skillfully done.  On the top, they radiate from the brass knob and on the piece itself they are swagged.  A close look shows that there is almost a spidery or seaweed effect produced as in the vinegar decoration technique.  Not quite sure how this was done, but I'm sure glad they did it!  This is perhaps one of the best pieces of decorated treen that we have seen!  A very special piece that promises to be an outstanding addition to any collection of painted wares.
