Superb Chip Carved Box with Dome Top Lid. Made of pine and walnut, circa 1860's, American. An excellent example of this genre` with a beautiful nutty brown patina and old varnish finish. Surprisingly, it still retains its original key. Size is 11" long x7-1/2" wide x 8-1/3" high.
