Portrait Miniature on Ivory of a Young Girl
Presented here, a Miniature Watercolor Portrait on Ivory of a young girl, aged 16 years old in 1834, identified as Elizabeth Woodruff.  Hand written on the back is some family information, but the paper it is written on is brittle and has losses making it practically impossible to puzzle out what it says.
This is a very beautiful presentation of an attractive blonde young lady dressed in the fashion of the day.  It is in excellent condition, framed in a rosewood frame with string inlay and old bubbly glass.  Size is 2-3/4" wide x 3" high (sight) and 5-5/8" x 6" overall.
