Hog-Scraper Candlestick
Presented here, a fine "Hog-Scraper" Candleholder which derives its name from its similarity to a device (and its occasional use as such) for scraping bristles from hogs at butchering time. The small hook at the top has "gone missing" over the years. This would have allowed the candle holder to be hung over the back of a chair or a shelf.

The Candle Holder is in very fine overall condition with only minor surface rust. The push up device is intact and is in working order and the candleholder is guaranteed to be as described and from the 19th Century. It stands 6-1/8" tall and the base is 3-3/4" in diameter.
