Scrimshaw Watch Hutch Presented here, a very fine Scrimshaw Watch Hutch made from Lignum Vitae and Whale Ivory. Both woodwork and design are as fine as one will see. The brass positioning screw at the back of the column under the finial and the iron screw attaching the base are hand made. This would date the manufacture to the early 1800's.
