Southeastern Massachusetts, Circa 1780-1800
Manganese-glazed Bristol County, Massachusetts Ovoid Redware Jar with concentric rings incised on shoulder; manganese splotches and drips and a beautiful glossy glaze. In overall excellent condition with just a couple of "flea bites" on the bottom that do not compromise the integrity of the piece and are barely noticeable. A very desirable example of Redware with a fabulous glaze from Coastal Massachusetts. Height 8", circa 1780-1800.
