Colonial Powder Horn Colonial Powderhorn, American, circa 3rd qtr. 1700's. The decoration shows very strong Pennsylvania Dutch influence. The initials "WTR" and the name "David" are prominently on the horn. The horn has been scraped down leaving the ringed dividers in high relief and the horn with a luminescent transparency. The majority of the decoration is on the bottom part of the horn where there is a meandering vine with a bird, a deer, a horse, a turtle (?), a star flower and of course, several tulips.
