Tree Mortar with Pestle

Bark Covered Tree Mortar with Pestle.  Made from a hollowed out Tree Trunk, these were commonly used to pound and grind grain or corn when mills were unavailable. Made of Hardwood (Lignum Vitae) with walls an inch thick, it stands 8 inches high, not including the pestle.  A very impressive and substantial piece and rare to find with the bark intact.
