Presented here, a classic Prior Hamblin School composition on board presented within paint decorated frames.  Simple and direct, confident yet welcoming  . . . an agreeably Handsome Couple.  He, a bearded man, (Perhaps a Sea Captain?) and she, a brown-eyed woman of considerable appeal with a playful smile and a twinkle in her big brown eyes . . . Lovely skin tone and her hair fashioned in the style of the day.
Confidently attributed to William Mathew Prior and circa 1840's.

The paintings, framed, measure 18.5 x 15 inches .  In good condition with fine paint decorated frames.
