Miniature Cast Iron Iron Pot This very Rare Cast Iron Pot shows an early type of round pouring opening called a round "sprue", which indicates an early casting, prior to 1750. The pot is in exceptional condition. The sturdy, wrought bail handle is hooked to the brim with wonderful ear handles that complete the package. Possibly a miniature, but surface conditions indicate that it would might have been used as a sauce pot for cooking, keeping or warming on the hearth.
