Pair of oval back dished candle sconces, early - mid 19th C, rolled sheet iron and silvered glass. Oval central mirror plates, with radiating fan design. Backplates with soldered folded edge oval mounts & hanger brackets, adjoining folded edge tubular braced downswept candle arm, piecrust crimped bobeches, and folded rim candlecups, all in untouched patina, now aged to a fine dark pewter patina. All glass is original, intact, free of cracks, with expected age appropriate silvering losses/discolorations. Likewise, all solder joints original & intact. The draped perimeter feature, a time consuming detail that took extra talent to perform is a very unique detail I've not seen before. Excellent condition throughout. Size: 11- 1/4"H x 7"W x 5 1/2"D.
