Queen Anne Spoon Rack/Wall Box
Mid 18th C, black walnut, T-head nailed, original thin red stained surface, now oxidized to a rich dark nutty brown with excellent patina, very light use wear. Probably Hudson River Valley origin, or New England, 3/8" stock throughout, excellent overall condition; about as close to mint as can be found. Upper left backboard ear is old in-use reattached (no filler added). Two other ears show the faintest hairlines visible only from backside. Period pewter spoons included. Simple yet elegant. Size: 20"H X 12"W X 5 3/4"D (top of canted well).
