Rush Nip Holder with Candle Socket on Maple Burl Base

Early Hand Wrought Rush Light Holder with Candle Socket.  Original octagonal wood base cut from Maple Burl.  The burl is spectacular but hidden somewhat by the saw curf marks.  Circa late 1600's - 1750.  Height is 13-1/4" high.  Condition is excellent.
