 Windsor Tea/Tavern Table

Circa 1770-90
Maple and White Pine

The top, a single board attached to cleats raised on turned legs joined by high double stretchers in the Windsor Style. Scrubbed top with Red painted base.

Tables of this type undoubtedly were more common in the 18th C. then their survival would indicate today and this rarity makes it more difficult to determine a specific date or regional origin but the long tapered legs are in the New England Windsor form. Top is 25-1/4" x 36-3/4" and the height is 25"
