Burl Bucket

Exceptional and exceptionally rare hand carved Burl Bucket with hand wrought bail handle and iron banding at the base.  Circa 1700 plus or minus a few years.(25 either way).  Note how the walls thicken at bail attachment points to handle potential additional stress.  Much labor and care went into this piece allowing its survival to this late date to show a piece of history from days of yore . . . one of a kind.  A GREAT treasure! Size is 8" high to the top of the handle attachments and 5-1/2" to 6" in diameter on the bottom depending on where measured. Wonderful patina and gorgeous burl!
