Stamp Decorated Miniature Basket

Presented here, a wonderful little decorated splint basket . . . perhaps a berry basket. Beautifully made and quite sturdy.   The notch-carved handles go straight down to the bottom of the basket.  The upright splints are alternately woven and there are six painted weavers as decorative elements, along with the "four heart" design. The top rim appears to be a lighter color than the rest of the basket which lends a softness to the finish.  It is in drop-dead-gorgeous condition with no apologies at all. I just love to be able to say that!
Size is 4 x 4-1/4 inches and 3-1/3" high.
