Reverse Painted on Glass

This is a very special gameboard dating from the mid 1800's.  It is 11 inches square and is in very fine condition.  It is reverse painted on glass with a faux mahogany grain painted frame. . . square nailed construction.  It appears that the black elements were painted on the glass and a silver foil or paper put on behind it.  The total effect is a wonderful board of shimmering stars.  The "Star" of a collection or a great stand-alone piece.
