Nautical Decor Aneroid Barometer
Presented here, a sparkling brass nautical desk barometer . . . a carryover from the Victorian very ornate presentation pieces given to yachtsmen and other sea lovers in the various maritime industries.
Made to very high standards, this beautiful piece features a fine German aneroid barometer with a porcelain windowed face which covers view of the working mechanism. The porcelain face shows the various weather possibilities for a rising (in black) or falling (in red) copyrighted data designed by Frank Watrous, New York. All brass case with beveled glass over the porcelain face and a brass anchor on the base. Height is 12-1/2", diameter of the wheel from spoke to spoke is 8" and the condition is excellent. A most appealing and functional find.
