Exceptional Woodlands Indian (Maine) Handled Ash Burl Pitcher with Pouring Spout.  Hewn from a heavy and dense piece of burl with great tool marks on the interior.  An impressive size . . . 6-1/2" high, 15" from the tip of the spout to the end of the well carved handle and 8-1/2" in diameter.
Excellent untouched surface, gorgeous, dry patina.  Big, Bold and Gutsy . . . an atypical and RARE form.  Exhibits appropriate wear from age and usage.  Circa 1780-1800.
