Inlaid Gameboard Presented here, a wonderful double sided Gameboard Inlaid with various woods. It depicts two ladies frolicking ( or dancing) with scarves flung in the air, a musician playing his horn while a man and woman dance, a man riding a bucking mule, and another fellow being kicked by a mule. There are lattice designs in each corner in a darker wood so as to stand out. They remind me of architectural elements found on those "Gingerbread" Victorian houses. On the reverse is a Checkerboard with inlaid squares. The squares are inlaid with what appears to be a snowflake type design. In the corners on this side is a diamond, heart, club, and spade. The molding is applied with square nails. This Gameboard was surely a labor of love and the work of a very talented folk artist. Dimensions are 17" square and the overall condition is excellent. Surely a one of a kind Gameboard that would be a stellar addition to any collection or a perfect stand alone piece. Wonderful Folk Art! $2200.00 R06I270061 Questions? Ask the Ferret!
