Miniature Blanket Chest Presented here, a superb Miniature Walnut Blanket Chest with Scalloped Base from Southeast Pennsylvania. It is a perfectly scaled miniature in its original finish. The cabinet maker who made this installed the same scalloped bracket and feet molding around the entire base, front and back. The dovetailing is extremely well done and the case is tight and solid. The figure of the Walnut wood is outstanding, especially on the top. While the piece has been waxed over the years, it still has excellent patina and oxidation. The visible nails fastening the bottom are square and hand made. Hand cut screws fasten the original brass hinges.
