Scrimshaw Stool with Ivory Inlay

Presented here, a little stool that is super in design, quality and craftmanship.  This sailor made walnut stool is not only an art work, but built for a very long future.  It dates from the mid 1800's and retains its original, untouched surface.  Inlays of Whale Ivory, a Cherry or Maple rectangular border and a highly figured, unusual hardwood center section make this a very special piece indeed.
Size is 16-1/2" long x 8-1/2"wide x 7-1/2" high.  Condition is excellent.  No apologies here!
