 Hand Wrought Footed Hearth Trivet

The word "Fabulous" works well with this Hand Wrought Footed Hearth Trivet.  It is most certainly a work of art from a fine blacksmith.  Circa 1650 to early 1700's.  Likely English, made and brought over as part of a colonists possessions.  Originally with a handle which parted company in a time long past.  A rare addition to a fine collection of early iron.

A great wall piece, or use it on the hearth. It is 16" long x 17-1/2" wide x 3" high with the wonderful patina of an early iron piece that has been lovingly cared for.
