Skittles Game or 10 Pins Bowling

It is believed that Ten Pins Bowling is the North American version of the Dutch Game of Skittles ("Nine Pin Bowling") and was brought with them when they settled on these shores in the 17th Century.  Before long the game fell into disrepute as it attracted unsavory characters and gamblers to the point that a law was passed to ban the game.  However the law only specified "nine pin bowling" so people simply added another pin to avoid penalty! The pins are 7" tall and the overall condition is very good with "used but not abused" wear to the surface.
